The Podcast Is Back: Galileo Starts 10th October
Exciting news: the podcast is back.
The first episode of the Galileo series comes out on Saturday 10th October. I've been working on this series for a long time and I hope people like it. After the first episode, new episodes will follow on a fortnightly schedule.
Join the Patreon
I've also started a Patreon, and the first episode is already there for anyone who wants to hear it early.
I've started the Patreon with the aim of eventually making the podcast a full-time venture. My goal is to build a community who love the show enough to support it. In the long term, I would like to release a new episode every fortnight. I can't promise that yet, but if enough people are willing to support the show, I'm sure it can happen. In the meantime, I hope the Patreon will help me keep to a more regular schedule.
What's coming
I have seven episodes of the Galileo series written and three more planned. That will make it by far the longest (and in my opinion the best) series yet. Series 9 will then focus on Galileo's successors on the Continent and in England, and Series 10 will be another monster, this time on Isaac Newton.
What patrons get
I expect early episodes (two weeks ahead of the free feed) to be the biggest draw at first. I'm also open to bonus content in the future, and that's something we can discuss as a community. I thought I might make some Q&A episodes, and share material I couldn't fit into the main episodes.
Thank you
For years this podcast has been a labour of love, and I pour a lot of time and energy into every episode. With your support I can keep doing that and bring you more stories I hope you'll enjoy. If you can't support the podcast financially, of course I understand. Recommending it to friends or sharing it on social media is a big help too. All support means a lot to me.
Thank you all,
Gethin
